(More customer reviews)I have owned and used flatline barrels on several of my guns over the years. My first was for my model 98 when they first developed the system. I was impressed with the first one and haven't lost that with all off the newer versions.
You have the advantage on the field of a further reach with your paintballs. In woodsball they have almost become the standard to level the playing field. The A5 flatline was a great inprovement over the one for the 98. It was easier to install and was compact. The X7 version is sturdy, easy to install and looks really cool as well.
One warning though. You must use paint that is in good shape. Don't try last years paint out of the closet. If your paint is misshapen or dimpled, use a straight barrel. The paint needs to take the stress of rolling down this barrel to gather it's back spin. This is stressfull to the paint shell and old paint will bust. All Flatlines are harder to clean after a break so use good paint.
