(More customer reviews)I have had this gun for several months now and I can honestly say this is an amazing airsoft gun. I have owned 14 in my history playing airsoft and this is the best. It has a great many features that make it stand out:
Full Metal Construction - The only plastic is in the grips, same as in the real steel. I have both)
Great Construction - I have used this in numerous matches and put it through quite a bit of abuse and it still runs fine.
Great R.O.F (Rate of Fire) - This gun fires at a blinding speed constant and without problems from the gun.
Great Power - When trying to lay covering fire, which is what this kind of airsoft gun is for, it will lay a constant and powerful spray of pellets out onto the field (380-400 f.p.s +/-).
Now for the negatives:
Weight - Due to the full metal construction and size of this airsoft gun it is very heavy. I would say it feels close to 20-22lbs when carrying it. That kind of weight will wear on you over a long match.
Battery - While it is a good gun the battery leaves a lot to be desired. The amount of time you can play on a single charge is not very long. I have tried to play all day matches with it and about 7 hours in it is dead and when you are out in nature there are no power outlets. This is an easy fix. Most airsoft websites can sell you another battery.
Magazine - This is really my only disappointment with this product. The magazine is hopper fed, meaning that all of your pellets sit in a large bin within the magazine. The pellets have a tendency to fall into other parts of the magazine from this hopper as well as out of the magazine when the hopper lid falls off. This is an easy fix with electrical tape and a search on youtube can help you. The other major problem with the magazine has to do with jamming. It seems like every 500 rounds or so the box magazine will jam. It then needs to be taken apart and cleared manually. I have used a variety of pellets of varying qualities and prices and this is something that happened with all of them. Lastly the magazine is noisy rattling around as you walk.
This gun will take most airsoft M16 magazines as well so a mid-capacity or high capacity magazine from Amazon or another airsoft stores website would be a good solution to the magazine problems.
I know that I spent a lot of time discussing the negatives of this product however, it is a good gun. The gun is really what you are purchasing. I rated it five stars because it has served me well. It is a sturdy gun with a great intimidation value. People will run rather than face you on the airsoft battlefield. In all of my airsoft acquisitions I have never been more proud of any of my guns. I look forward to many more years with this one. In closing, I will recommend this gun to those who are experienced in airsoft. It requires skills and knowledge that someone who does not know their way around an airsoft gun probably does not have.
